MDGC is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for young people at our events.
As an affiliate of Australian Disc Golf (ADG), we follow ADG’s safeguarding children and young people policies.
Juniors at events
Juniors taking part in events must complete ADG’s Parental/Guardian Release & Media Consent Form.
If you have any questions about playing as, or bringing along, a junior, please get in touch.
Working with Children Check
Volunteers in a position of authority over children — for example Social Day organisers, tournament directors, and anyone running junior or school events — must hold a valid Victorian Working with Children Check (WWCC).
- Apply for or renew a check at Working with Children Check Victoria.
- When the check asks for the organisation you volunteer with, use the club’s postal address.
ADG sanctioned events
For ADG sanctioned tournaments, Tournament Directors, Assistant Tournament Directors, and any other volunteers identified as being in a position of authority over children must submit their WWCC and SIA Safeguarding Training certificate directly to ADG, at scofficer@australiandiscgolf.com.
